The Colosseum is one of the Seven Wonders of the New World. This building is a large performance building or called the Amphitheater. Colosseum is located in Rome, Italy. This building was originally called the Flavian Amphitheater because it was built by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian family. The construction of the Colloseum began in 70 BC. The Colosseum was completed in 82 BC in the time of Titus, son of Emperor Vespasian. The name Colosseum is taken from the name of Nero's large statue, Colossus. This statue is 40 meters high. Some historians believe that the construction of the Colosseum was funded by the results of robbing Hindu temples in Jerusalem during the time of Emperor Herod in 64 BC.
